Camping equipment rental

 

Rental period 


The rental period is 4 days, starting from the pick-up date.
An additional 20% of the total rental fee per day will be charged for each extra day after the 4-day period (any part of a day counts as one full day).
(Example: If the equipment is collected on June 20, it must be returned by June 23.)


Pick-up and Return Arrangements 


The pick-up and return locations are in Lai Chi Kok Studio, Lai Chi Kok MTR Station or designated meeting locations.


Withdrawal Arrangement


In-store Pickup: 

Customers are advised to inspect and verify all items on-site to ensure they are complete and in good working condition.
Any missing or damaged items must be reported immediately to our staff.
Once the rental agreement is signed, the customer is deemed to have accepted that all equipment is complete and in proper condition.
If any item is found missing or damaged upon return, compensation will be required according to the “Equipment Damage” clause.


For Other Delivery Methods:

Customers must check and count all equipment within 3 hours after receiving the items.
If there is any issue with the quantity or condition, please contact our staff immediately.
After the 3-hour period, all equipment will be considered accepted in good condition.
If any loss or damage is found upon return, the customer will be charged according to the retail price of the individual item.


Deposit


Deposit amounts are specified on each product page and must be paid upon equipment collection.
If all equipment is returned clean, intact, and functional, the full deposit will be refunded within 4 days after return.



Cancellation/Amendment Policy

If cancellation or rescheduling is made within 7 days before the pick-up date,
a 50% handling fee of the total rental amount will be charged.

If cancellation is made 1 day before or on the day of pick-up (before the equipment is collected),
an 80% handling fee of the total rental amount will apply.


Equipment Use/Damage 

Customers must use and maintain equipment properly and lawfully.
It is strictly prohibited to use the equipment in unauthorized or illegal camping sites, or for illegal purposes.
If any item is damaged during use for any reason, compensation will be charged based on its retail price.


Returning equipment


All equipment (including tents, cooking sets, etc.) must be returned in the same packaging and clean condition as when received.
Otherwise, cleaning and maintenance fees will apply:

  • HK$80 per tent for organizing

  • HK$50 per cooking set for cleaning

For equipment that is irreversibly soiled or damaged, compensation will be required as per the retail price.
Please check for any personal belongings before returning equipment — the company will not be responsible for any lost items.



Late Return Policy


If you cannot return the equipment on time, please contact us via WhatsApp.
If no notice is received within 3 days of the scheduled return date, your personal details may be reported to relevant authorities.
If a typhoon or rainstorm is forecasted within the next 1–2 days, you may request to extend the rental period one day prior to pick-up, subject to our discretion.


Bad Weather Arrangements


The company may use the personal data of the renter or pick-up person solely for purposes including rental services, product return, or other transactions related to our shop.
Unless required by law, personal data will only be used for these purposes.
If a renter fails to return equipment, their personal data (including name, ID number, phone number, email, and address) may be provided to relevant government departments.


Final Decision


The company reserves the right to amend terms and conditions or issue additional guidelines at any time.
In case of dispute, the company’s decision shall be final.


Agreement to Terms


By completing payment, the customer is deemed to have read and agreed to all the above rental terms and conditions.

Outdoor Activities Disclaimer

 

I understand that the course/activity involves physical exercise. To the best of my knowledge and belief, there are no health or other reasons that would make me unfit to participate in this training and assessment/activity. I am in good health and do not have any pre-existing health or psychological problems or allergies.

I voluntarily participate in this course/activity and understand that some training items may carry inherent risks. If I am injured or encounter any accident during participation, the organizers shall not be held responsible.I understand that participation in any FUNPEAK ADVENTURE activity may involve risks greater or different in nature from those encountered in daily life.

I accept and fully assume all risks, dangers, and hazards that may result in personal injury, death, or property loss/damage, and I waive any right to claim compensation or take legal action against FUNPEAK ADVENTURE.

I acknowledge that FUNPEAK ADVENTURE shall not be liable for:

  • Any personal injury or loss;

  • Any direct or indirect damage to persons or property.
    I am responsible for the safety of my personal belongings.
    FUNPEAK ADVENTURE, its coaches, or staff will not be liable for any loss or theft before, during, or after the activity.

If my negligence causes any damage, theft, or loss of equipment or property (excluding normal wear and tear), I agree to compensate the cost of repair or replacement.

The coach and organizer reserve the right to adjust activity routes based on weather, participants’ abilities, or venue conditions, prioritizing safety.
No compensation will be provided for such changes.

No refunds will be issued for any reason.
If an activity cannot be formed, it will be rescheduled.
If cancelled due to severe weather or force majeure, it will also be postponed, not refunded.

I consent to photo and video recording during the course/activity for documentation and promotional purposes by FUNPEAK ADVENTURE, without compensation or additional consent.
My image, name, and voice may be used in related promotional materials (e.g., website, videos, publications).
All media and recordings remain the sole property of the organizer.

I agree to follow all instructions and safety guidelines from FUNPEAK ADVENTURE before and during the activity.

I have read, understood, and agreed to all of the above terms, disclaimers, and conditions.
