┃Frequently Asked Questions FAQ┃
How do Funpeak's summer programs differ from regular summer camps?
We emphasize an "immersive outdoor experience" that combines nature exploration, physical challenges, and teamwork, allowing children to learn independence and problem-solving skills in a classroom without walls.
我需如何預訂 How do I book?
All reservations must be completed online. This process ensures that we can accurately collect all necessary information. All payments must be completed online; we do not accept same-day payments,
Can children who don't know how to swim, or aren't very good at it, participate?
Rest assured, absolutely! We require all participants to wear life vests when engaging in water activities where the water depth exceeds knee level. Professional instructors will be present throughout, maintaining a 1:8 ratio, to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience! If a child truly doesn't want to participate in a specific activity, please don't worry. We uphold the principle of encouragement, not coercion, and no staff member will force students to participate in activities that make them uncomfortable.
How is safety ensured during the event?
Safety is our top priority. All instructors are professionally certified (e.g., in lifeguarding, first aid, or climbing qualifications), and the coach-to-student ratio is strictly maintained at 1:8 or lower. Contingency plans are also implemented based on weather changes.
What are the qualifications of the instructor team?
Our team consists of experienced outdoor education experts who not only possess technical skills but also excel at inspiring children's curiosity and leadership.
Will the Mountain and Sea Experience Summer Camp provide food?
This depends on the type of activity you attend, as detailed below:
- 5-day, 4-night; 3-day, 2-night; or 2-day, 1-night camps:
We provide meals starting with dinner on the first day, offering three balanced meals per day. If participants have any food allergies, please make sure to indicate them on the registration form.
- Single-day camps:
Meals are not provided for this activity; participants need to bring their own lunch and snacks. We recommend preparing sandwiches, rice balls, energy bars, and sufficient drinking water.
Can children be in the same group as their friends or siblings?
We will primarily group children based on their age. If you have any special grouping requests, please indicate them in the online registration form. If you are registering with multiple friends or siblings, please list the person you most wish to be grouped with at the top of the list. We will do our best to accommodate your requests, but as grouping also considers overall activity quality and age appropriateness, we may not always be able to fully satisfy every request. We appreciate your understanding.
Can children bring mobile phones and other smart devices?
To help children focus better on activities, we will centrally manage their mobile phones. Each evening, there will be a designated time for children to use their phones to contact family. For the rest of the time, phones will be kept by the camp staff to help children maintain focus on activities and enjoy their time with peers.
Will photos be taken during the event?
Photos taken during the event will be shared with you via Google Drive after the event, so you can easily access your children's wonderful moments. However, our top priority is to ensure that every participant has a safe, enjoyable, and fulfilling experience. Our team will do their best to capture moments when appropriate, so photo-taking capabilities may sometimes be limited. Nevertheless, we will try to take as many photos as possible to share your children's unforgettable memories with you.
What will happen if the weather is bad (e.g., black rainstorm or typhoon) on the day of the event?
If the trip is cancelled due to weather conditions, we will arrange make-up classes or refunds according to our guidelines. Please refer to the registration handbook or consult our on-site staff for specific terms.
Can parents accompany or observe?
To foster children's independence, most courses recommend that children attend independently. However, we also have specially designed "Parent-Child Integrated Camps" where parents are welcome to explore nature with their children!
What specialized equipment do I need to bring for the activity?
Most professional equipment (e.g. life vests, tents, gear) is provided by Funpeak. Participants only need to wear appropriate sportswear and athletic shoes, and bring sun protection.
